This design was Inspired by an agricultural past, where the site required the merging of an existing garden with an unused former paddock. The design works carefully to blend and merge areas, creating a unified space which allows the clients to wander through the garden. Working with existing key sight lines, the design reveals vistas through the garden to secluded family areas, down pathways into meadow and out over water. Materials reflect the local vernacular with a soft and sensitive footprint, working alongside planting, to create woodland calm, seasonal interest, texture and a hint of the cottage garden.
